Art 1

The Art I course is tailored for beginners and provides an opportunity to explore various art processes, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and textiles. Students will have access to a wide range of mediums, such as acrylics, watercolor, tempera, marker, colored pencil, charcoal, graphite, pastel, clay, yarn, and collage materials. The course also covers different time periods and cultures through project-based learning, exposing students to a diverse range of art vocabulary and design challenges. This enables them to identify and manipulate the elements and principles of design to solve artistic problems. Ultimately, the Art I class is a safe and supportive environment for students to experiment and express their creativity.
